“Soulcalibur VI,” like its predecessors, features guest characters who bring a certain level of freshness to this arcade combat simulator. In the case of the latest installment of the franchise, fans are given the chance to fight as Geralt from “The Witcher” series. In honor of the game’s release, fans also created a real-life Soul Edge and Soulcalibur from the title.
As Newsweek notes, “Soulcalibur VI” features Geralt as a guest character, who the developers valiantly tried to assimilate into the title’s lore. While this monster slayer is an officially sanctioned addition, however, there are other characters that were rammed down the game’s throat. In a feature by Dual Shockers, the internet’s current Rule 34 obsession Bowsette also made an appearance.
It would appear that someone used the Character Creation tool to lovingly bring this online sensation to life in “Soulcalibur VI.” This is not the first time that players have tried to insert a little bit of their personality into the game, but it never gets old when a meme finds its way into a fighting simulator.
Speaking of fans bringing things from “Soulcalibur VI” to life, the good folks over at Mat At Arms: Reforged were good enough to dedicate a tribute to the game. In a recent video, the blacksmiths forged both Soulcalibur and Soul Edge in glorious splendor, breathing life into these legendary blades. The results could not have been more perfect if the eyes on Soul Edge had actually moved.
Naturally, the demonic sword was too heavy to handle as it is done in “Soulcalibur VI,” so fans will just have to settle for the game for that. Speaking of which, the release date for “Soulcalibur VI” is Oct. 19, Forbes reports, and it will be available for the PC, the PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
