NEW YORK, March 25, 2016 -- Rosen Law Firm, a global investor rights law firm, reminds investors of Third Avenue Focused Credit Institutional Fund (NASDAQ:TFCIX) and Third Avenue Focused Credit Investor Fund (NASDAQ:TFCVX) (collectively, “Third Avenue”) from March 1, 2013 through December 10, 2015, all dates inclusive (the “Class Period”) of the important March 29, 2016 lead plaintiff deadline in the class action. The lawsuit seeks to recover damages for Third Avenue investors under the federal securities laws.

NO CLASS HAS YET BEEN CERTIFIED IN THE ABOVE ACTION. UNTIL A CLASS IS CERTIFIED, YOU ARE NOT REPRESENTED BY COUNSEL UNLESS YOU RETAIN ONE. YOU MAY ALSO REMAIN AN ABSENT CLASS MEMBER AND DO NOTHING AT THIS POINT. YOU MAY RETAIN COUNSEL OF YOUR CHOICE.
The Complaint alleges that Defendants failed to disclose that Third Avenue consistently held more than 15% of its net assets in illiquid securities even though Third Avenue’s Registration Statements and Prospectuses stated that Third Avenue maintained only a small proportion of its investments in illiquid securities and at no point held more than the 15% threshold set by the SEC. When declining asset prices and customer redemptions caused Third Avenue to suspend customer redemptions and place the fund’s assets in a liquidating trust, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages.
A class action lawsuit has already been filed. If you wish to serve as lead plaintiff, you must move the Court no later than March 29, 2016. A lead plaintiff is a representative party acting on behalf of other class members in directing the litigation.
