South Korea’s first biogas hydrogen fueling station equipped with an operating system that integrates the production, storage, transport, fueling, and sales process has opened in Chungju, 147 kilometers south of Seoul.

The Chungju Bio-Hydrogen Refueling Station uses food waste produced at the Chungju Food BioEnergy Center to make highly concentrated, eco-friendly hydrogen with more than 99.99 percent purity.

The station is capable of fueling hydrogen cars and also supplies other hydrogen stations nearby using tube trailers.

The operating system costs around 12.3 billion won.
