The contest’s first stop will be Dallas, Texas, home to Rocky Mountain High Corporate Headquarters, in conjunction with award-winning music producer, Alex Gerst and his Empire Sound Studio. The contest winner will receive a three song recording package, a professional photo shoot with Rocky Mountain High, promotional items for their band, an opening slot at a major Dallas/Ft. Worth venue, and a supply of delicious Rocky Mountain High hemp-infused beverages.
"Rock the Road Trip" is a contest designed to discover the next big rock bands in the country. Contestant bands will submit their best piece of original music to www.rocktheroadtrip.com. The competition will officially open August 9, 2016 and close to entries on September 12, 2016. Between September 13, 2016 and September 30, 2016, Rocky Mountain High Brands will select three potential showcase winners based on the following judging criteria:
- Song writing strength (lyrics / melody / creativity / originality / arrangement)
- Musicianship
- Commercial Appeal
- Votes collected from the website
Winners will be announced around October 1, 2016.
