Stanley joins Chief Outsiders after a notable stint for Darden Restaurants, where he led international franchise operations for the casual dining multinational. In that role, Stanley was responsible for creating Darden’s international franchise strategy, which led to the opening of 53 restaurants in just five years’ time.
Prior, Stanley was a proactive change agent in chief marketing roles for Olive Garden and Longhorn Steakhouse; and also lent his go-to-market expertise to ConAgra Foods as the VP of Marketing overseeing brands Healthy Choice and Marie Callender’s.
At Chief Outsiders, Stanley looks forward to delivering customer and competitive insights that will fuel business growth strategies; helping C-suite executives create marketing plans, develop and nurture marketing organizations and human resources; and helping businesses become more agile in the current competitive business climate.
“Terry is a skilled, insightful chief marketer who brings both a keen track record of success and an entrepreneurial spirit to Chief Outsiders,” said Tom McCrary, managing partner of Chief Outsiders’ Southeast team. “His experiences across the retail, hospitality and consumer packaged goods markets will allow Terry to quickly infuse small- and mid-market businesses with the growth-oriented insights needed to foster success.”
Based in Florida, Stanley holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business and a BBA from University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
