CHICAGO, May 03, 2017 -- RedSky Technologies, Inc., the leading provider of E911 and NG911 solutions announced that its RedSky Horizon® suite of NG911 software and hardware has achieved JITC Certification and has been added to the DOD UC Approved Products List (APL). The RedSky Horizon® suite consists of all the functional elements necessary for the deployment of a complete, next generation, emergency services IP network (ESInet). The RedSky Horizon® suite also includes NG911 gateways to connect existing DOD telephone platforms to both DOD and municipal legacy 9-1-1 networks. This solution has been designed in anticipation of the DOD’s transition to an IP-based Unified Communications (UC) platform. The RedSky Horizon® solution elevates continuity of operations in this mission critical application, supporting regional, command, and even branch levels of aggregation and call routing. When used with RedSky’s JITC approved E911 Manager® for enterprise location management and E911 Anywhere® for call routing and delivery to municipal PSAPs, this solution covers every facet of 9-1-1 in a highly secure and reliable fashion.
“Being added to the DOD UC APL is a culmination of years of customer engagement, engineering, testing and ultimately certification,” said Tony Maier, CEO of RedSky Technologies, Inc. “We are pleased to have developed a complete suite of NG911 products that meet the i3 standards while also meeting the strict information security and interoperability requirements of the DOD.”
“RedSky’s Horizon® Next Generation 9-1-1 product suite has the potential to improve the delivery of public safety services to every member of every service branch, their families, and civilians and contractors that spend time on any US military base in the world,“ said Jerry Eisner, Vice President of Public Safety at RedSky Technologies. “It is an honor to lead the way in 9-1-1 within the Department of Defense.”
