'Red Dead Redemption 2' Release Date, Update: Screenshots Reveal New Challenges Including Hunting

Rockstar Gaming, the creator of "Red Dead Redemption," revealed some details about the "Red Dead Redemption 2." On Sept. 28, the studio released screenshots of the game.

The set of screenshots include Arthur is hunting and fishing, strapping a kill onto his horse, finding a trapper at a trading post, and tracking a wounded animal through a snowbank. Gamespot was able to get some nice new views of Arthur with his horse. You may check the images here. Some of the photos also show wild horses that players can break and tame, which they can own after.

The hunting, crafting, and horse taming systems all sound pretty detailed, given the details accompanying the announcement. The source advises players to be careful about how to track animals and even which weapon to use to maximize the value of the pelt and meat. Hunting may not be difficult all the time as not all animal interactions are violent. It is important to keep the horse fed and well-groomed to increase its stats.

For those who have no console to play "Red Dead Redemption 2," Sony announced a new PS4 Pro bundle. It includes the standard version of the game as a freebie.

The "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be available on both PS4 and Xbox One on Oct. 26 for £49.99. As of the moment, there is no scheduled release for PC yet.

There is Special Edition of "Red Dead Redemption 2," which will also be made available and will include exclusive content like extra story missions, gameplay bonuses, and a special edition printed map.

Rockstar is known for its franchise dynasty with their GTA games. Its GTA 5 raked in more than $6 billion worldwide and become the best-selling entertainment product in history. With that, many gamers are expecting "Red Dead Redemption 2" to be one of the best games of the year when released.
