MAHWAH, N.J., Jan. 05, 2017 -- Radware® (NASDAQ:RDWR), a leading provider of cyber security and application delivery solutions ensuring the digital user experience for applications in virtual, cloud, and software-defined data centers, announced that it provided a major U.S. mobile carrier with attack mitigation solutions.
As a mobile carrier network, it manages a high volume of IP addresses from cell phones roaming the network and are constantly fending off DDoS attacks. The network experienced major attacks in the past year that elevated its need for very high capacity platforms. The carrier chose Radware’s attack mitigation system because it allows them to automatically detect and mitigate attacks without manual interference.
This carrier needed to expand the bandwidth requirements of its network through a total infrastructure upgrade. They looked for a security solution that could protect and scale the mitigation capacity. The expanded network required 100G connectivity to support the increased bandwidth. Radware met their needs and deployed several DefensePros® across multiple locations within the U.S.
“This major mobile carrier chose Radware because we were able to meet the breadth of their network and security requirements,” said Bob Simpson, vice president of sales, west for the Americas for Radware. “They have come to rely upon us because we consistently mitigate their attacks automatically and in real time.”
Radware’s real-time behavioral analysis can detect attack signatures and blocks attacks within 18 seconds. Radware’s Vision management software gives this mobile carrier 24/7 visibility so they can quickly identify the impact of events and report information on larger attacks to executives.
