(NYSE:QEP) (“QEP” or the “Company”) announced today that it has completed the sale of 4,950,000 additional shares of common stock to the underwriters of its recent public offering of common stock in connection with the underwriters’ full exercise of their option to purchase additional shares. QEP received additional gross proceeds (before underwriting discounts and estimated offering expenses) of approximately $49.5 million from the sale of the additional shares of common stock, increasing the total proceeds received by the Company in connection with the offering to $379.5 million.
The net proceeds from this offering are expected to be used for general corporate purposes, which may include, among other things, reducing indebtedness, acquiring properties and funding a portion of the Company’s exploration and production activities and working capital.
