Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, Inc. is sashaying into the wedding catering industry, launching exclusive packages in the U.K. for couples exchanging vows. The service, set to run from Aug. 1 through late 2024, offers a "Wings and Rings" menu featuring hot wings, chicken sandwiches, and southern biscuits.
The Caterer reported that Popeyes' new catering service is exclusive to wedding occasions at this time. Couples who would like to celebrate their nuptials with the restaurant can simply book a package. They can select food packages through Popeyes' "Wings and Rings" menu list that is available on the restaurant's website.
Then again, this is a limited-time offering because the wedding catering service will only run from Aug. 1 to the last quarter of 2024. The groom and the bride can choose the menu for up to 150 guests.
Mostly, the wedding food includes hot wings, a mix of chicken sandwiches, and Popeyes' famous Southern biscuits. The company created its wedding catering service after serving its signature Louisiana fried chicken to Beyoncé and Jay Z's wedding in 2008.
Moreover, the idea comes after Popeyes shared its plan to launch at least 20 more stores in the U.K. this year. This will bring the number of its restaurants in the region to 31. Globally, it is already operating more than 4,000 outlets.
If rich and famous people like Beyonce and Jay Z can serve Popeyes on their wedding day, ordinary people can do it as well. Metro UK mentioned that to celebrate the launch of the catering, the fried chicken house is offering a chance for a lucky couple to have their wedding catered by Popeyes for free.
This is a sweepstake where fans and customers just need to inquire about the new service and share why they deserve to be awarded the free wedding catering offer. Popeyes stated on the inquiry page, "Whether it is a heartfelt story, a unique connection to Popeyes, or simply an undeniable love for their famous Louisiana chicken, Popeyes wants to hear from couples."
Finally, aside from the free catering, the winning couple will also get a free supply of chicken sandwiches for the whole year.
