Atlanta, April 30, 2018 -- Opici Wine Group announced today that it has selected supply chain planning solutions from Blue Ridge to better align its wine and spirits inventory with expected demand from its customers. Founded in 1913, Opici Wines is an importer and producer of fine wines, artisanal spirits, and craft beers from around the globe. Blue Ridge’s technology will optimize the inventory in Opici’s 200,000 square-foot, temperature-controlled facility in Glen Rock, NJ.
Opici joins Athens Distributing Company, Eder Bros., Georgia Crown Distributing Co., United Distributors, Major Brands Premium Beverage Distributors, Martignetti Companies and Vectura as wine and spirits companies leveraging Blue Ridge’s distribution-focused forecasting and inventory planning technology to improve operations.
“Our solutions are designed to help companies like Opici balance customer needs with business realities like events/ promotions, variable and long lead times, seasonality, deal management and all the other variables that put pressure on today’s wine and spirits distributors,” said Jim Byrnes, Chief Executive Officer, Blue Ridge.
The Blue Ridge supply chain platform is the most accurate way for retailers and distributors to spot and plan for changes in customer demand before they happen. This insight helps Blue Ridge customers reduce costs, improve service levels, and assure product availability to customers without creating a costly inventory surplus.
Blue Ridge is exhibiting at the Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA) Annual Convention & Exposition, April 30–May 3, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The WSWA event is the largest gathering of America’s wine and spirits distributors, as well as suppliers from around the world, who want to enter or grow their brands in the U.S. marketplace. Blue Ridge will be exhibiting in booth #334.

About Blue Ridge
Blue Ridge supply chain solutions are the most accurate way for retailers and distributors to spot changes in customer demand before they happen.
