REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., Dec. 13, 2016 -- Imperva, Inc. (NASDAQ:IMPV), committed to protecting business-critical data and applications in the cloud and on-premises, today announced that fashion retailer N Brown Group plc is using the Imperva Incapsula service to protect its online business. N Brown deployed the Incapsula service across all its customer-facing web services to ensure protection from business crippling DDoS attacks as well as to protect against other malicious web application attacks with the service’s Web Application Firewall (WAF).
With $1B per year turnover, N Brown is a target for cyber criminals looking to disrupt business and steal data. After analysing the cyber threat landscape, the company was looking to further strengthen its security posture as it migrated a number of its websites to a new hosting partner.
Imperva provided N Brown with a live proof of concept service to complete its evaluation. “Within a few hours of evaluating the service, we noticed the Imperva Incapsula technology was superior to the other products under evaluation, and that made Imperva an early frontrunner,” said Richard Jones, head of IT security and risk at N Brown. “The ability to include WAF and CDN further differentiated Imperva from other solutions we considered. Implementing the Incapsula service was surprisingly easy, and it only took a few days to get all 36 websites up and protected.”
Imperva Incapsula is a cloud-based application delivery service that makes websites safer, faster and more reliable. Using the service, organizations of any size can protect their businesses with enterprise-grade web application security, DDoS mitigation, performance optimization and load balancing.
