“This is exciting for Sirius and MemorialCare,” said Imran Salim, Senior Vice President of Healthcare Solutions at Sirius. “Healthcare IT innovators now have a secure, contained application environment where they can test, validate and pilot clinical technologies, and ultimately discover new ways to serve their patients.”
“Every patient encounter relies on robust information systems and thoroughly tested innovations,” said Kevin Torres, Vice President of Information Systems at MemorialCare. “The MemorialCare Technology and Training Center Powered by Sirius is a non-production environment where we can rigorously and rapidly test the very latest information systems, upgrades and medical technologies.”
The MTC’s electronic health record (EHR) installation has a complete stack of technologies capable of running a 2,000-bed hospital. The facility includes a standalone, isolated data center and simulation lab, as well as meeting and training space. It includes a comprehensive collection of the latest technologies (including servers, storage, network, software and tools) to explore various aspects and requirements for a wide range of healthcare and EHR operational needs.
