Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has hinted at significant upcoming partnerships with major South Korean companies, suggesting that these announcements will please both U.S. President Donald Trump and the South Korean government. Speaking to reporters during the Nvidia developers’ conference in Washington on Tuesday, Huang revealed plans to visit South Korea this week to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO Summit.
Huang emphasized the strong ties between Nvidia and leading Korean corporations, including Samsung Electronics, SK Group, Hyundai Motor, LG, and Naver. “Samsung, SK, Hyundai, LG, Naver — if you just look across the entire Korean ecosystem, every one of these companies are deep friends of mine and very good partners,” Huang stated. He added that he expects to make announcements “that will be really delightful to the people of Korea and to President Trump,” while choosing to keep details under wraps for now.
According to Huang, Nvidia is collaborating with Samsung and Hyundai “in many ways,” particularly in the development of next-generation artificial intelligence infrastructure, which he referred to as “AI factories.” These initiatives are expected to strengthen Nvidia’s position as a leader in the AI and semiconductor industries while deepening its strategic partnerships in Asia.
The visit comes as Trump prepares to deliver an address at the APEC CEO Summit and meet with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung in Gyeongju on Wednesday. Industry experts anticipate that the discussions and announcements could pave the way for expanded U.S.-Korea cooperation in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and advanced technologies.
Huang’s remarks underscore Nvidia’s global ambitions and its commitment to building strong alliances across Asia’s technology ecosystem, positioning the company at the forefront of the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
