SAN RAMON, Calif., June 15, 2017 -- Nuance Energy, manufacturer of the Osprey PowerPlatform® and a developer of distributed solar energy projects, has announced the appointment of Jimmy Ryan as chief operating officer. The company also has expanded its senior management team to support the company’s accelerated growth plans adding two senior management posts including Stelli Munnis, senior director of marketing, and Brad Thomas, senior project manager.
Ryan will be responsible for staffing, resource allocation, cost reductions, supply chain management and EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) activities. He joins Nuance Energy after a career-long focus on scaling businesses and delivering consistently strong financial results.
“Nuance Energy’s technology is uniquely innovative and path-breaking in its potential to make a great impact in the solar industry and I am excited to be a part of the company’s growth story,” said Ryan.
Munnis is a B2B marketing and sales professional with ten years of experience in solar marketing. She will oversee the company’s brand communications and integrated marketing efforts worldwide. Prior to joining Nuance Energy, Munnis was responsible for growing pipeline and profitability in the commercial business unit at SunPower Corporation.
A seasoned project manager, Thomas brings over 25 years of experience in construction and related operations. His body of work includes construction management, project management and operations management, and he has been involved in projects ranging in scale from $100k to $450M.

“Innovation in cleantech is essential to driving solar adoption worldwide,” Thomas said. Working with a group of people who are not afraid to be bold and disruptive and have a sense of urgency that ‘now is the time to act’ is what drew me to the company. The culture at Nuance Energy continuously challenges the status quo and we are not afraid to ask the really hard questions like ‘Why not? and How can I?’.”
