GARDEN CITY, N.Y., Jan. 09, 2018 -- New York Plastic Surgical Group, a division of Long Island Plastic Surgical Group (LIPSG), is pleased to announce the opening of a new office at 222 Westchester Avenue, Suite 308 in White Plains, N.Y. Beginning January 3, 2018, Westchester native Dr. Justin B. Cohen will see patients in the new office, located within the New York Sports Medicine Institute, on Wednesdays from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Our new office brings the practice’s total to nine locations, covering five counties in the New York Metro Area. LIPSG’s largest and oldest practice is located in Garden City, the heart of Nassau County, with our East Hills practice to the northwest. LIPSG has two locations in Suffolk County located in Babylon and Huntington, and additionally offers service outside of Long Island in our offices located in Flushing, Queens, Park Slope, Downtown Brooklyn, and the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
Thoughtful, incremental growth and attention to the needs of the community have guided the expansion of the practice over its seven decades of history. New York Plastic Surgical Group is unparalleled in its scope of experience, dedication to education, and innovation in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
“Since joining the New York Plastic Surgical Group, I knew I wanted to expand the presence of the group by bringing our depth of knowledge and technical expertise to Westchester. Having grown up in the area, it is a great feeling to come back home and serve the community which raised me. Although I am excited to offer cutting edge techniques in facial and body cosmetic procedures, I also feel there is a sufficient need for complex oncologic reconstruction,” said Dr. Justin B. Cohen.
Dr. Cohen attended the Hackley School in Tarrytown where he graduated as Salutatorian with honors and multiple scientific awards. He then went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology from Princeton University and his medical and Master’s degrees from Yale University. While at Yale, he was awarded a research fellowship in stem cell biology at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. He continued his training with a residency in plastic surgery at Washington University in St. Louis. Subsequently, he also undertook advanced specialization with a breast reconstruction and microsurgery fellowship at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Cohen is an award-winning researcher and has worked in the most prestigious institutions in the country.
