FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., Sept. 07, 2016 -- In a move to expand and secure data networks, Netsurion, a leading provider of remotely-managed data and network security services for multi-location businesses, has named ReSource Point of Sale a Gold Partner. The company will resell Netsurion’s Brand Guard services bundled with its own end-to-end technology solutions at an affordable price.
According to the Symantec Internet Security Threat Report, more than 430 million new pieces of point-of-sale (POS) malware were found in 2015. POS systems continue to be a weak link in the network security of a business. Hackers are able to retrieve credit card data from POS systems for months before the activity is even caught.
By partnering with Netsurion, ReSource Point of Sale can protect its customers’ data by offering remote managed network security, PCI compliance and secure Wi-Fi. These services will strengthen weak links in POS networks.
“Our managed firewalls protect customers’ data by blocking potentially harmful traffic requests and stopping outbound network traffic in its tracks, preventing sensitive credit card data from being sent to malicious sites and countries,” said Mark Cline, vice president of Channel Sales, Netsurion. “By partnering with Netsurion, ReSource Point of Sale is adding a layer of security to the solutions and hardware that it already offers. We are happy to begin this valuable partnership and combine our efforts toward our common goal of securing merchant data networks.”
ReSource Point of Sale is an industry leader focused on delivering customizable, end-to-end technology solutions for retail and hospitality—from hardware procurement, software implementation, project management and installation to comprehensive support and maintenance. Through the state-of-the-art systems and knowledgeable staff, ReSource Point of Sale continues to advance superior service levels nationwide.
“At ReSource Point of Sale, we understand the importance that network security has in the POS industry. As a company whose priority is providing excellent customer service, we know how much our customers will benefit from having the peace of mind that their POS data is secured,” said Nik Parra, CTO, ReSource Point of Sale. “We are excited to partner with Netsurion to strengthen our customers’ networks and continue to excel in the services we provide.”
