Netflix and Bath & Body Works will collaborate to launch a new fragrance collection inspired by the hit historical fiction-romance drama series "Bridgerton." Through this team-up, fans of the show will be able to bring their viewing experience to a new level through the sense of smell.
Bath and Body Works revealed its partnership with Netflix streaming media firm on Tuesday, March 12. The Columbus, Ohio-headquartered retail company said their cooperation for the new "Bridgerton" fragrance collections will run for a year.
Diamond of the Season Collection
Netflix and Bath & Body Works plan to release 32 products under the "Diamond of the Season" collection. There will be several categories in the collection of collaborative beauty products, some of which are scented candles, body care, hand sanitizers, soaps, and scents.
Obsev reported that the "Bridgerton" is a limited-edition collection inspired by the show's characters, memorable scenes, moments, and key icons. The "Diamond of the Season" was named after the "chosen" debutante in the drama. One of the fragrances in the Diamond collection features a fusion of spring daffodil, jasmine, and peach and offers a sweet, radiant scent.
How the Partnership Came to Be
According to Yahoo Canada, for Bath & Body Works, the move to join forces with Netflix was a natural decision because of the high viewer rating of the "Bridgerton" drama. The company thinks that if the number of viewers is combined with the customers of its brand, the product will be a hit.
"Fans of 'Bridgerton' are connected to this idea of immersive and decadent escapism, which we are trying to deliver through the power of fragrance," Bath & Body Works' chief customer officer, Maurice Cooper, said in a press release. "At Bath & Body Works, we aim to forever transform the viewing experience for millions of Netflix fans by allowing the power of fragrance to transport them like never before into their favorite stories and scenes."
He added, "Scent is the most evocative of all our senses - it heightens our emotions, experiences, and memories and we want to take fandom for all those who love Bath & Body Works and Netflix to new levels through this inspiring new partnership."
Meanwhile, the Bath & Body Works x Netflix collection will be released before the "Bridgerton" Season 3 premiere. Diamond of the Season can be purchased in stores and online on March 13 and March 14. The entire collection will be available starting March 25.
