WEST JORDAN, Utah, April 12, 2018 -- While the Utah Jazz and Salt Lake City Stars accumulated hundreds of three-point shots, Mountain America Credit Union prepared to wrap up both team’s home seasons by presenting a combined $72,600 to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation. This season’s donation marks the largest donation in a single-year made by Mountain America to the Foundation.
Mountain America donated $50 for every three-point basket made by the Utah Jazz and the Salt Lake City Stars during the 2017-18 season with an additional $50 donation for every game-changing shot.
Mountain America’s leadership team presented the $72,600 check to Christena Huntsman Durham, who represented the Huntsman family, during halftime of the April 10 Utah Jazz home game.
Over the past five years, Mountain America has donated over $300,000 to Huntsman Cancer Foundation.
“Mountain America is committed to elevating the credit union philosophy of ‘people helping people’,” says Sterling Nielsen, chief executive officer for Mountain America. “We are grateful to support the life-saving work of the Huntsman Cancer Foundation and bring hope to patients.”
