Watertown, MA, Dec. 07, 2016 -- Mimecast Limited (NASDAQ: MIME), a leading email and data security company, today announced a further extension to the Mimecast API, designed to help Managed Service Provider (MSP) partners with existing provisioning platforms to optimize their Mimecast resources and manage their new and existing client base. The new API allows MSP partners to fuel rapid growth and differentiate themselves from their competitors. Now MSPs can rapidly deploy best-in-class cloud email management services from Mimecast, made available as a single-pane-of-glass solution for easy access and execution.
In a time where MSPs are struggling with end-of-life product transitions in both the email security and archiving space, the Mimecast API offers the scalability, flexibility and ease-of-use only available in a pure-cloud solution. The API can be set up by Mimecast within 24 hours, enabling MSP partners to manage everything from customer on-boarding to user and domain user management, and solution upgrades quickly. This set-it-and-forget-it solution allows MSP partners to bill their Microsoft Office 365 and Mimecast customers all at once providing them a quicker time to revenue while delivery great value.
“MSPs are pulled in all directions by organizations promising the moon but fall short on a lot of the fundamentals. MSPs need to partner with someone that can help them deliver on world-class products and services without getting bogged down with day-to-day tasks like billing,” said Ed Jennings, chief operating officer, Mimecast. “Mimecast’s latest API does exactly that, providing an intuitive method for managing Mimecast email services in a way that grows MSPs’ revenue. Already, Mimecast has been recognized by the likes of Gartner, Forrester and Radicati for our industry-leading services; and, with this new API, we look forward to helping our MSP partners enhance profits and continue to support thousands of loyal Mimecast customers.”
“Managed Service Providers are challenged with the growing complexity of solutions and services. Customers are used to great experiences with consumer services and so have high expectations for the efficient and effective delivery of cloud services within their businesses,” said Julian Dyer, Chief Technology Officer & Co-founder, Cobweb, & CTO, Vuzion. “Without comprehensive automation, service delivery is fraught with risk for the MSP. The Mimecast APIs are part of the foundational efficiency that every MSP needs, allowing a focus on value-add and differentiation for a profitable business.”
