BELFIELD, N.D., March 12, 2018 -- Meridian Energy Group, Inc. the leading developer of innovative solutions for environmentally-compliant oil refining facilities, announced today that it has reached agreement with Lance Medlin as Meridian’s Executive VP of Projects. This appointment comes at a significant time for Meridian as the Davis Refinery ground-breaking quickly approaches. Mr. Medlin will oversee the detailed design, equipment procurement, fabrication and construction of the initial phase of the Davis Refinery, and the handoff of this facility to Thomas Johnson and the operations team that he is building in Belfield, North Dakota.
Mr. Medlin has an extensive background in the industry, having led successful projects for Shell, BP, Exxon, Petrofac, KBR, and Pemex. In such roles, he has served as a Vice President of Engineering and Projects, Project Executive, Project Director, and Commissioning & Start-Up Manager. Mr. Medlin is an Engineer with degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Organizational Management bringing with him over 20 years’ industry experience in Project Management in Chemical, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas Facilities Design, Construction and Operations. Mr. Medlin has led the management, planning, and direct supervision of day-to-day Civil, Mechanical, Industrial Construction and Process Engineering.

As Meridian nears completion of the permitting process for Davis, the design and equipment procurement will accelerate, and field construction will commence as soon as the final Permit to Construct has been awarded by the North Dakota Department of Health. Lance is now in place to ensure that Meridian hits the ground running on this important project.”
