Clearwater, Florida, Dec. 29, 2016 --
MariJ, a certified organic mobile CO2 processor and handler, has entered into a processing agreement with a certified organic hemp farm in Colorado, allowing our Company to produce what we believe to be some of the first, certified CO2 organic hemp oil to be manufactured in the United States..
We also have obtained substantial information about a wide range of hemp crop issues this season, after the loss of a San Luis Valley Provider Agreement contract, which was to begin this past fall.
Canna-Cures Research and Development, Inc. (“Canna-Cures”), also an Acacia subsidiary, is continuing the development of new and exciting Endocannabinoid Nutraceuticals products that have been added to the lineup. Canna-Cures does not treat patients, but rather, manufactures supplements for sale and distribution to those unaffiliated persons and entities who directly treat patients.
MariJ and Canna-Cures will continue to work closely together in 2017, to create new and innovative products while building synergistic business relationships within our industry.
After the results of the November election, there are 8 additional states that have passed new laws allowing activity in the cannabis industry. We believe that our Companies are well positioned, to assist our growers with our mobile CO2 extraction process, manufacturing and private labeling new and exciting products for them to take to market.
