ROANOKE, Va., Feb. 26, 2018 -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company delivering advanced engineering services, cybersecurity and product solutions, announced today that Program Manager John Hallman, a technical expert with the company’s Secure Computing and Communications (SCC) division, has been invited to serve as a panelist during a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) Assurance workshop sponsored by the Electronics Division of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA). The two-day event will be held on February 27-28 at the MITRE 1 Auditorium in McLean, Virginia.
The mission of NDIA’s Electronics Division is to develop proposed solutions for the U.S. Government and industry to provide trusted and assured electronics, lead the evaluation of current industry challenges, and provide a framework for the legal and ethical exchange of information. The theme for 2018 is the proposed Department of Defense (DoD) Strategy for FPGA Assurance, and presentations will include exploration of the emerging area of embedded FPGA (eFPGA), Intellectual Property (IP), and firmware assurance.
“John’s panel participation demonstrates MacB’s thought leadership and subject matter expertise on a number of FPGA topics including validation and verification for bitstream, trust assessment, assurance risk and mitigation, and third-party IP during this important NDIA event,” said Barry Polakowski, Senior Director of MacB’s SCC division. “The objective for these workshops is to tap into the technical expertise of attendees, and be an active participant in various collaborative subgroups and strategic discussions across the defense, intelligence, and space communities.”
