SAN FRANCISCO, May 02, 2018 -- JLT Specialty USA, a U.S. subsidiary of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc. (LSE:JLT), the leading global specialist risk advisor and broker, is pleased to announce the appointment of Vipul Kumar as Vice President of the Transaction Advisory Practice.
Based in San Francisco, Kumar will be working with clients to understand their merger and acquisition (M&A) risks, and to provide custom solutions. Through the Transaction Advisory Practice, Kumar will advise private equity funds, and strategic buyers and sellers on the structuring and placement of representations and warranties (R&W), contingent tax, litigation/known risk, fraudulent transfer and successor liability insurance solutions in M&A transactions.
Kumar joins JLT from Davis Wright Tremaine, LLP, where he served as a Senior Associate Attorney. During this time, he led a team of attorneys, paralegals and assistants to execute financings, mergers and acquisitions and divestitures. Prior to this position, he has worked at various law firms were he drove legal process for multi-billion dollar acquisitions and divestitures.
