Vaping has garnered a lot of attention. While vaping is becoming increasingly popular, more people are starting to ask questions about the health concerns that may come as a result of vaping.
As a whole, vaping appears to be a healthier alternative to smoking Tobacco. You can vape nicotine as a substitute for smoking. Yet, there is no end to the number of products on the vaping market.
Although vaping can be used for other substances, not only nicotine. It is predominantly a nicotine dominated market. Within the range of products offered on the nicotine vape market, we also find a range of quality.
The same can be said about vape juice. Vaping liquids vary in quality. With that said, it is pretty safe to say that vaping is a healthier alternative to smoking cigarettes.
Cigarettes contain around 600 ingredients. The chemical constituents of tobacco can be damaging to humans when consumed. Carcinogens such as Benzene and Formaldehyde and toxic metals such as Arsenic and Cadmium can be found in cigarettes. Arsenic is used in rat poison and Benzene is used in pesticides and gasoline! These chemicals are dangerous.
Vaping is effectively cleaner than smoking. Vape liquids contain less chemical compounds in the base ingredients. Most vape juices are made up of two basic ingredients; water and propylene glycol or vegetable glycerin. Additional ingredients include flavorings and most commonly nicotine.
The health benefits of vaping compared to smoking tobacco are widely attested. But, bear in mind that we are still studying the effects of vaping on people. There is only a small pool of scientific research on the subject.
The Dangers Of Smoking
Smoking tobacco is not good for the human body. Nicotine alone is a poison. This is overlooking those additional additives. Safe to say, your average cigarette is full of harmful compounds. At least 250 of these compounds are harmful. Not only is smoking dangerous for smokers, it’s also a problem for those who breathe secondhand smoke.
The effects of smoking are well documented. A solid body of evidence has formed. We now know the dangers and risks associated with smoking. Cigarette smoke is loaded with heavy metals, poisons and carcinogens. These affect internal organs, blood pressure, immune system and overall health.
Governments and medical bodies will tell you that smoking is bad for your health. This is no longer in dispute.
What Are The Dangers of Vaping

If you are still vaping nicotine, the vape solution should contain only a couple of compounds. The product doesn’t contain anywhere near the same amount of chemicals as a normal cigarette. Yet vaping nicotine is still addictive.
For a lot of people vaping is a way of transitioning from smoking to a less detrimental form of consumption. Remember, nicotine is still incredibly damaging without any added compounds.
Individuals are also looking at vaping as a means to ingest a range of compounds. For instance, vitamin B12 has shown a great deal of promise as a vapable substance. You will also find people vaping essential oils, cannabis, and other products.
Yet, as the recent vaping related illnesses indicate, vaping is not without its dangers. There have been 47 deaths associated with vaping as of November 2019. This is in addition to more than 1,000 cases of lung illness.
The Centre for Disease Control and Prevention has identified vitamin e-acetate, an additive used in vape juice, as a chemical of concern for vapers. Vitamin e-acetate is used as a thickening agent in THC containing vaping products.
Vaping or Smoking?
When looking at the current scientific evidence that is available, it is clear that vaping
Vaping can offer an effective means to ingest substances. Without having to consume a host of other arbitrary or even harmful chemicals as well.
