Starting at $19.00 for the early bird special, the HIPPA complaint WRIXO emergency wristband is a complete medical information management system that leverages NFC chip and QR code technology to allow emergency personnel to access personal medical information such as any health conditions, prescription medications, allergies, or if you require special care with just a tap.
Founded by George Shih, a serial entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in starting and funding technology companies, WRIXO seeks to raise $35,000.00 during its Indiegogo campaign to help fund product development, manufacturing, and distribution and expand its marketing initiatives.
“In a medical emergency, there’s very little time to find critical medical information about the patient being treated. It is crucial that emergency and medical personnel have immediate access to patient records and information so they can administer the proper treatment in a matter of seconds,” stated George Shih, founder of WRIXO. “We developed WRIXO to allow patients of all ages to securely store important personal and medical information and have it accessible on a simple device- with just one tap! It could truly be the difference between life and death.”
The embedded NFC chip allows for easy and secure access to your medical information by emergency and medical personnel with just a tap. They can also scan its QR code to gain access to information. In addition to medical condition and prescription medication information, users can upload other key information to the WRIXO cloud including personal information, emergency contact information, insurance information, blood type, list of allergies, pharmacy contact, their physicians’ contact information, and any medical notes. Users can also store and categorize records and images such as X-rays, MRIs or lab reports and results. Users can also choose to have a specific medical condition printed on the band. WRIXO is the ideal solution for just about any medical emergency information needs.
The one-push call function allows EMTs to instantly call your emergency contact. Set-up is simple. Simply input your personal information, emergency contacts and insurance information and invite your doctor(s) to upload your medical records, information and images to your WRIXO account. WRIXO is waterproof and made of high-grade silicon and durable enough to withstand daily use. Currently, WRIXO is available in pink or blue, but other colors will be available in the future.
The WRIXO Cloud is subscription based. The Standard Edition will be available for free. The Premium Edition will be $6.00 per month.
You can support WRIXO on its Indiegogo page now starting at $19.00 for early bird adopters. https://igg.me/at/wrixo A percentage of the funds raised will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
