SAN JOSE, Calif., March 09, 2016 -- (from the OCP US Summit 2016) -- Hyve Solutions Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of SYNNEX Corporation (NYSE:SNX) and the first Platinum Open Compute Project (OCP) solutions provider, has submitted a subset of its popular Ambient series products for OCP acceptance. These submissions are designed to incorporate many of the highly desired features of OCP and present them in a platform that is more easily adopted by the traditional datacenter customer.
Hyve Solutions Ambient series servers are specifically designed and engineered to tolerate much higher inlet temperatures, which allows for ambient air to efficiently cool the servers rather than resorting to power-hungry chilled cooling systems. The new Ambient product submissions, which will be compliant with the Decathlete specification, offer hot swap drives, and single or dual power supply solutions. These solutions are designed for standard 19” racks and more conventional datacenter environments while possessing OCP characteristics.
