In this position, Mr. Moraski will play a key role in driving and executing the company’s overall growth strategy, with particular emphasis on driving product and service expansion through acquisition opportunities.
In recent years, Matrix has significantly expanded the in-home clinical services it provides as well as the populations it serves. The leadership, expertise and industry relationships that Mr. Moraski brings to the company will be instrumental as Matrix pursues increased growth and innovation.
Mr. Moraski is an accomplished executive with extensive strategic investment and corporate development experience with some of the nation’s largest health plans. Mr. Moraski recently served as corporate vice president of transformation at WellPoint (now Anthem), a Fortune 50 health insurance company. “Brett has come to know Matrix very well as he was instrumental in the development of the joint venture between Frazier Healthcare and Providence Service Corporation,” said Walt Cooper, Matrix chief executive officer. “His expertise and deep relationships across the industry will contribute greatly to helping us in our transformation to a broad healthcare services company.”
Prior to his time at Anthem, Mr. Moraski was senior vice president of corporate strategy and development at Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, where he was responsible for strategy, innovation, corporate development, and market research. For each company he has served, Mr. Moraski’s contributions were instrumental in driving innovative non-core growth opportunities and guiding strategies to accelerate transformational growth.
“Working closely with Matrix over the past nine months I have gotten to know the leadership team well, and I am very excited at the opportunity to become part of its future,” said Mr. Moraski. “Matrix is uniquely positioned to have a major impact on improving the delivery and management of care across all populations.”
