Through generous donations from valued guests and restaurant teams, Golden Corral aims to raise $1.6 million in this year’s campaign to send thousands of military children to Camp Corral. The fundraising campaign runs from March 27 to June 18. Donations can be made at the restaurants and online.
Golden Corral is a long-standing supporter of American veterans. The company founded Camp Corral in 2011, and continues to provide generous support to the organization, a 501(c) (3) tax-exempt, nonprofit corporation. Since 2011, Golden Corral and its customers have provided over $7 million to Camp Corral.
“Through the generosity of our incredible guests and the efforts of our restaurant teams, together we have sent thousands of military children to Camp Corral over the past five years. We owe so much to these military families who serve and sacrifice for our country, and we are excited that even more children will be able to attend this summer,” says Lance Trenary, President and CEO of Golden Corral. “We are honored to continue our efforts to support Camp Corral and raise awareness for the needs of our nation’s nearly 1.8 million military youth.”
Camp Corral provides kids, ages 8 to 15, the week-of-a-lifetime at camp where they are free to escape the challenges they face as military children. Camp Corral partners with camps accredited by the American Camp Association across the nation to provide activities that are fun, new and challenging under the watchful eye of highly trained staff. Additionally, a military and family life counselor is available at each camp.
“We are very thankful to Golden Corral for their continued support of our organization,” said Mary Beth Hernandez, CEO of Camp Corral. “Because of their generosity, we’ve been able to provide a fun and supportive camp opportunity to over 17,000 deserving military children around the country free of charge.”
Golden Corral encourages the public to visit one of its restaurants during the campaign to make a donation to support this important program. Contributions to Camp Corral can also be made directly on the organization’s website, or mailed to the Camp Corral office located at 801 N. West Street, Raleigh, North Carolina 27603.
