All 393 guest rooms, in addition to hotel corridors, have been completely renovated. The Executive Rooms located on the top four floors of the hotel have a fantastic panoramic view of the University City area and now feature robes, slippers, upgraded toiletries, and an iPad docking station. Executive King Rooms now feature luxurious body pillows, complimenting an upscale contemporary look. All five King Junior Suites, featuring a bedroom adjacent to a living room, were also completely redone with first-class amenities.
Executive Level guests enjoy access to the Concierge Lounge featuring continental breakfast and evening hors d'Oeuvres, beverages and an honor bar. Upgrades to the Executive Lounge included the addition of an espresso machine, new seating and updated furniture.
Fitness-minded guests will find plenty to help them stay in shape, including an outdoor swimming pool, a lakeside jogging trail, and a completely renovated 24-hour fitness center. The fitness center now offers the newest Precor exercise equipment with the latest technology.
Guests will marvel at the Hilton Charlotte University Place’s new Edgewater Bar & Grille, formerly known as Lakefront Restaurant, which underwent $750,000 in renovations. Edgewater Bar & Grille now boasts new commune tables in both the restaurant and bar, private dining spaces, a revamped bar with nine beer taps, seven HD TVs that can be seen at every angle, and fresh, modern decor. The restaurant also features natural light with a stunning view of the beautiful Lake at University Place.
In addition to its physical renovations, Edgewater Bar & Grille debuts a new southern-inspired menu. The menu was created with fresh, farm-to-table meals in mind, and locally sourced ingredients will be used in recipes whenever possible. With menu items ranging from gourmet burgers to unique flatbreads and desserts, there is something for everyone to choose from. The menu will also offer a variety of shared plate options for those that enjoy dining out with a large group.
Craft beer lovers will be thrilled with the new selections available on tap. Edgewater Bar & Grille will feature seven local draft beers that will change seasonally. Beer flights will also be offered so guests will have the opportunity to taste the best beers of the season.
