“Fortnite” Season 10 is already being discussed by the game’s community despite the fact that season nine was just recently released. One of the reasons why this is due to the recent update not bringing in a new map for the popular Battle Royale shooter, VIDMID reported.
Instead, it changed several areas of interests in the current map through the eruption of a volcano. Tilted Towers and Retail Row has been transformed into Neo Tilted and Mega Mall, futuristic versions of the locations. The volcano itself has also been changed and is now being called Pressure Plant. While this will provide refreshing gameplay for players, it’s not the new map that’s been promised by Epic. As such, the community is speculating that “Fortnite” Season 10 may be the update that will bring this new map to the game.
As for its release date, the current season will last for 75 days. Thus, “Fortnite” Season 10 could arrive on July 24 barring any unforeseen delays. Aside from a new map, Epic will also be introducing new skins on the July update, with the design focusing on a cyber-punk theme that is in line with the Neo Tilted location that’s been previously mentioned.
But the most anticipated event for the Battle Royale is the upcoming Fornite World Cup slated to take place on July 26 and to end on July 28. If “Fortnite” Season 10 will indeed bring a new map to the game, then it’s not expected that the tournament will use it. It would be odd if Epic decides that the Word Cup use the new map as it will undoubtedly throw the pros’ preparations out the window.
But given that “Fortnite” Season 10 is still a couple of months away, it’s too early for speculation at this point. For now, players are simply happy about the new update and the fresh skins that it brought the community.
