BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich., Dec. 27, 2016 -- Flexible Plan Investments, Ltd. (FPI), a leading provider of dynamic risk-managed investment solutions for the separately managed account business, has announced the annual distribution of its Principled Investing Give Back payments. Payments were made on behalf of clients to their designated recipients, which included 124 religious organizations and 10 socially responsible charities.
While FPI has had principled-investing strategy offerings since 1998, FPI started its Principled Investing Give Back program five years ago. The program allows clients invested in FPI’s principled-investing strategies to give back 10% of FPI’s net advisory fees collected for these strategies to a socially responsible charity or a religious institution of their choice. These strategies include the socially responsible investing strategy For A Better World, and the faith-based strategy Faith Focused Investing. Since its inception, the program has continued to increase charitable payment distributions every year. This year, distributions are up nearly 40%.
“As more and more investors are looking to ‘do well by doing good,’ we continue to see an increase in our Give Back payments. This was why we included this concept in our principled-investing options,” says Jerry Wagner, president and founder of Flexible Plan Investments.
Principled investing has become an increasingly popular investment option, especially among women and millennials. In 2011, FPI added a new dimension to its principled-investing offerings by introducing the Give Back program. With its introduction clients have the option to invest in actively managed strategies designed to achieve their investment goals, support their values, and help them “pay it forward.”
