NEW YORK, April 12, 2018 -- Fenwick & West announced today it will move its New York office to 902 Broadway in the Flatiron district, the hub of New York’s technology, startup and venture capital community.
The only large law firm located in the Flatiron district exclusively focused on tech and life sciences—Fenwick will occupy 36,400 square feet across two floors at its new Broadway office, more than double the size of the firm’s current office in Midtown Manhattan.
“We are thriving in New York,” said Fenwick chair Richard Dickson. “Our focus on serving the legal needs of technology and life sciences companies, many of which are concentrated in the Flatiron district, makes it an ideal location. New York is also a very healthy market for top legal talent and we intend to continue recruiting talented professionals who are excited to directly engage in New York’s growing technology and life sciences industries.”
“Our New York office has more than doubled in size in less than two years, growing to more than 30 professionals,” continued Dickson. “We’ve added dozens of new clients in emerging technology and life sciences sectors from ad tech and blockchain to digital health, fintech, and fashion tech, as well as venture investors, corporate venture clients and established companies who seek our industry expertise.”
One of the world’s top law firms, focused on technology and life sciences, Fenwick has been named Technology Law Firm of the Year by Law360 for five consecutive years. Fenwick’s New York office opened in 2016 to address growing client demand from the area’s technology, life sciences and investment communities.
David Kleinhandler, Clay Hammerstein and Ken Rapp of CBRE represented Fenwick & West. Max P. Koeppel of Koeppel Rosen LLC represented the Rosen family-owned property.
