SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Nov. 29, 2016 -- For the third consecutive year, Federal-Mogul Motorparts will award $30,000 in scholarships to future automotive technicians who are enrolled in accredited, U.S.-based automotive technical schools, colleges or universities. The scholarships are part of the company’s comprehensive “Tech First” initiative, which includes the nationwide Garage Gurus™ network of technical education centers. Motorparts will award 12 $2,500 Garage Gurus Automotive Technician Scholarships for the 2017-2018 academic year. Applications are being accepted now and are available at www.FMgaragegurus.com/scholarship. All materials must be submitted by April 30, 2017.
Scholarship awards will be based on completed applications, written essays or videos describing “Why I want to be a top technician,” and other criteria. All applications and related materials will be reviewed by Federal-Mogul Motorparts employees and its team of ASE Master certified Garage Gurus.
