CHICAGO, Jan. 26, 2017 -- Family Office Exchange (FOX), the leading peer-to-peer network for ultra-wealthy families, will begin its 2017 series of complimentary public webinars with a presentation titled “Investors Chasing Yale and the Future of Alpha”, that will take place on Tuesday, February 7 at 1:00 p.m. CST.
The webinar will discuss how investors have been “chasing Yale” in pursuit of double digit portfolio returns for decades. This webinar will explore many of the reasons that the pursuit of Yale’s returns are a challenge to most investors and even mathematically impossible for taxable investors.
Presenting will be Kristi Kuechler, President of the FOX Private Investor Center. Kristi, a preeminent investment educator, joined FOX last fall from her role as partner at an investment management firm in San Francisco. Prior to that she served as President of the Institute for Private Investors. The webinar will originate from the new FOX West Coast office in San Francisco.
“This webinar will preview some of the important themes we are exploring this quarter in the FOX Private Investor Center,” said Kristi Kuechler. “Family office and institutional investors are struggling to adapt to many of the current disruptions in the investment industry, and this will be an opportunity to discuss how families and family offices are thinking about ‘the Future of Alpha.’”
Ms. Kuechler will discuss how some sophisticated investors are rethinking asset class allocation and moving away from active management amidst the rise of passive and factor-based investment strategies. She will also review new thinking about the role of hedge funds and private equity in a diversified portfolio.
These themes will be developed in greater detail at the FOX Global Investor Forum in San Francisco on April 4, 2017.
