CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Feb. 10, 2016 -- ExploreLearning®, a member of Cambium Learning® Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:ABCD), announced the company was recognized as one of the 2016 “Best Places to Work in Virginia.” The annual list was presented by Virginia Business and Best Companies Group.
This statewide survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places of employment in Virginia, benefiting the state’s economy, work force, and businesses. The 2016 “Best Places to Work in Virginia” list is made up of 100 companies.
Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the “Best Places to Work in Virginia.” The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience.
The final rankings were announced at an awards luncheon on January 28, 2016, at the Williamsburg Lodge in Williamsburg, VA.
“We are honored to be the only business headquartered in Charlottesville to win this award in 2016,” said David Shuster, Ph.D., founder and president of ExploreLearning. “We strive both to create great products that help students learn math and science, and to have a supportive work environment that fosters innovation and creativity. We’re proud to be recognized for doing both.”
