Errol Spence Jr was involved in a serious vehicular accident last Thursday after the Ferrari he was driving flipped end over end multiple times. Footage of the crash was released on the web, showing the car getting wrecked after it crossed a median, sending it careening through the street.

Errol Spence Jr was ejected before the vehicle rolled to a stop and miraculously escape with no broken bones. Police are still investigating the cause of the crash but said that the undefeated champion has been speeding at 3 am and wasn’t wearing a seatbelt when the accident occurred.

Following the incident, Errol Spence Jr was rushed to the hospital where he was confined in an intensive care unit. He’s expected to make a full recovery, as confirmed by his representative.

Errol Spence Jr looking to expand his collection

“[Errol] Spence [Jr] is awake and responding and is listed in stable condition. He didn't sustain any broken bones or fractures but does have some facial lacerations,” the representative revealed.

The 29-year-old has been making huge waves in recent years and sent his reputation into overdrive after winning against Shawn Porter last month in a 12-round slugfest. Errol Spence Jr is currently the IBF and WBC 147-lb champion and is looking to add more belt into his already impressive collection.

He’s slated to fight Danny Garcia on Jan. 25, but due to the accident, there’s a possibility that the match will be postponed. Errol Spence Jr is the favorite to win the upcoming fight since Garcia has been unimpressive in his last four matches, winning two and losing two.

Errol Spence Jr and Terence Crawford unlikely to happen soon

Following Garcia, The Truth will likely face WBA welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao, a match that is polarizing the boxing community. While some are apprehensive about seeing the aging legend take on a much younger Errol Spence Jr, others are curious how the match will conclude. This curiosity rose to new heights when Porter showed the world that pressuring and constant aggression can yield stellar results against Spence, a fighting style that’s been employed by the senator his entire career.

If The Truth managed to snatch Pacquaio’s belt away, Terence Crawford would likely be next in line. Similar to Errol Spence Jr, Crawford is also an undefeated fighter who has a penchant for knocking his opponents out. It’s this very reason that the boxing community wants the two fighter to collide. Unfortunately, with Garcia and Pacquiao on the horizon, and the accident hanging over Spence’s head, the match is unlikely to happen soon.
