Ellen DeGeneres 2019: TV Host Plans to Dump Portia De Rossi, Reports Claim

Ellen DeGeneres.Wochit Entertainment/YouTube

Ellen DeGeneres is one of the most popular female celebrity figures in the world and her marriage to Portia De Rossi is the stuff of legends. However, it would appear that the tabloid media would really love it if the couple would split up if only to finally report the truth. Unfortunately for them, this is just not happening since the pair simply love each other too much.

As Gossip Cop reports, the tabloid outlet to thank for this new depraved Ellen DeGeneres development is Star. A frequent culprit of spreading nasty rumors and making demonstrably false claims, the magazine recently published an article about the comedian. It claimed that the couple is going through tough times and that the “decade-long marriage has been hanging by a thread.”

Suffice it to say, this is not true, but it’s worth going through more of the nonsense that the publication put out just to highlight how ridiculous it is. The story basically cites an unnamed source for the information it printed, with the supposed tipster saying that Ellen DeGeneres has been “plotting her escape for months.”

Never mind the hurt that such reports can cause a married couple in a loving relationship, the story is practically amusing in how outlandish it gets. It even went so far as to suggest that Ellen DeGeneres bought a new house so as to escape from her wife who she will be divorcing soon. The supposed source even noted that this property would be “Ellen’s bachelorette pad for rebuilding her life after Portia.”

If there was any doubt that this particular report was false, Ellen DeGeneres has already denied the claims made by the story. What’s more, Portia De Rossi has been posting some telling Instagram photos that clearly shows her continued commitment to her marriage to the comedian. Who would people believe more? The couple or a tabloid publication that is too often proven wrong?
