Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are said to be considering the purchase of a new home in the land Down Under. Based on the report, the couple is looking to buy a $20 million home that is located near the latter’s family home in Horsham, Victoria.
An insider alleged that Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi already put an offer for a new home in Australia because they want to spend more time in Portia’s hometown.
“Portia really wants to spend at least six months a year there for a few years, then they can think about living there full time,” the source supposedly told In Touch Weekly.
Then again, Gossip Cop is debunking this story because Ellen DeGeneres already has a home in California and the “Ellen Show” host cannot be moving to another country permanently. She is working in the U.S. and moving to the other side of the world is obviously not feasible for her.
Moreover, Gossip Cop is contending the report that Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are buying a home in Australia because they know is a false story. For one, there is no other detail about the supposed plan of Ellen and Portia to relocate so they have no reason to buy a home in AU.
The publication also pointed out that the there was no actual description of the home that Ellen and Portia are said to be eyeing plus when they contacted the realtors in Horsham, they did not find a record that the couple is making an offer to buy a multi-million home.
This was not the first time that Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were reported to be buying a house. In fact, in October, the pair has been rumored to have bought a home so that one of them can use it when they want some space. The couple is allegedly doing this to live apart temporarily and save their marriage.
Further, the home was meant to be a place where Portia DeRossi can spend time while she takes a break from being a wife to Ellen DeGeneres. In this way, they will be able to sort things out especially when they had a conflict at home. At any rate, the report is not true and the couple is also not living apart to save their marriage.
