CHICAGO, May 07, 2018 -- (International Telecoms Week) - Element Critical, a leading provider of data center and IT infrastructure services backed by solutions engineering expertise, today announces its Prime Sponsorship at the upcoming International Telecoms Week (ITW) conference, the world's largest meeting for the global wholesale telecommunications community. ITW takes place in Chicago, May 6-9. In 2017, 6,743 delegates from over 1,944 companies and more than 140 countries attended.
At the event, the company will meet with customers and partners, and brief analysts on the company’s strategy to build a national platform of mission-critical technology facilities in collaboration with its two private equity partners, Safanad and Industry Capital.
With a record-breaking $20 billion in mergers and acquisitions closed in 2017, demand for outsourced IT services from small and midsize organizations is now outstripping supply of data center choices according to Synergy Research. Consolidation is being driven by enterprises divesting their own infrastructure, and cloud services providers looking to rapidly scale into new geographies.
The cost of upgrading aging data centers is driving many small and mid-size businesses to consider other options. In response to the lack of choice and the growing rigidity of many competitors, Element Critical is aggressively pursuing an acquisition strategy to quickly add portfolio depth and deliver essential technology facilities with customized engineering, rapid deployments, vigilant operations and contractual flexibility.
With a data center in Silicon Valley, the company acquired a 200,000-square-foot data center in Northern Virginia and plans to acquire multiple properties each year in key primary and secondary markets domestically, with an eye toward international expansion.
"There is clearly growing demand from small and midsized organizations for outsourced IT infrastructure solutions that offer higher levels of performance, support and operational partnership than the larger name providers,” said Ken Parent, CEO of Element Critical. “Our geostrategic facilities in Silicon Valley and Northern Virginia are particularly appealing to Asian and US multinationals seeking strategic connectivity solutions in the U.S.”
“Element Critical serves a wide range of companies seeking outsourced colocation and wholesale IT infrastructure services ranging from small cages to multiple megawatts of capacity and critical power,” said Bryan Chong, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “We specialize in customized solutions and since no two customers are identical, each requires a tailored blend of critical data center 'elements.'"
