The move is part of Exergen Global’s ongoing strategy to forge partnerships that will help expand its presence and bring its products and services directly to customers in Asia. Beyond its recent growth in China, Exergen Global plans to expand into Japan, South-Korea, and Taiwan.
Asia offers a significant market opportunity for IR sensors. In fact, a recent Frost & Sullivan report forecasts that by 2020 the region will comprise 20.5 percent of global revenue for the IR temperature sensors segment gradually replacing existing contact temperature sensors. In particular, Exergen Global sees growth opportunities in the markets in which it excels, including high speed printing, paper, pulp, laminating, injection molding, curing, and medical.

The company also announced immediate availability of the Game Changer, the Exergen N1030IR, an exceptionally accurate, small-sized, and simple-to-use plug and play non-contact temperature sensor solution. The Game Changer is an all-in-one package that includes:
- A Novus PID Controller N1030IR with all the mV tables needed for Exergen’s Micro IRt/c, and
- The Exergen Micro IRt/c-180F/90C + Air Purge (Exergen Micro IRt/c sensor with a Macrolon Air Purge and mounting bracket)
The Exergen N1030IR guarantees an accuracy of 1% and repeatability of 0.01% for the industry’s broadest temperature range – 32 to 392 °F / 0 to 200 °C – making them ideally suited to a broad range of applications, including graphics/printing/laminating, textiles, medical, aesthetical, food, plastics and others. The Exergen N1030IR, including Exergen’s Micro IRt/c with Air Purge and mounting bracket and Novus’ N1030IR controller, is available for an end user price of $ 199.00.
