“Dr. Stone” season 2 will offer another story of Senku’s inventions and scientific discoveries as he and his friends try to solve the mystery of petrification and find a solution to bring petrified people back to normal. This is his main goal - to save civilization and help restore humanity.
The viewers will get to enjoy the newest arc that will unfold when “Dr. Stone” season 2 premieres. It will be more advanced as Senku and the villagers have a lot of knowledge now when it comes to science, how things work and how to build tools that they needed to fight and survive. In fact, when the first installment ended, they were able to create various weapons, functional equipment and gadgets to make their life easier and safer from predators and enemies.
Season’s plot summary
“Dr. Stone” season 2 is returning with “Stone Wars” arc as revealed in the anime’s teaser. This was revealed late last year and this title alone suggests that Senku and his friends will be involved in a battle.
However, who their opponent will be is not certain since Tsukasa Shishio and his group is no longer an enemy after Senku was able to depetrify Tsukasa’s sister. He now pledges allegiance to the Science genius since he saved his younger sister Mirai and he turned loyal to the Kingdom of Science as well.
Moreover, thousands of years ago, when a mysterious light flashed across the sky, the frightened human population immediately turned into stones. Senku Ishigami was the first to be revived then his friends Taiju Oki, Yuzuriha Ogawa and a martial artist Tsukasa Shishio joined him later. Senku discovered that his revival was due to nitric acid so he continues to develop the revival formula to rebuild their civilization.
What to expect and possible airdate
“Dr. Stone” season 2 will move forward with Senku trying to solve the mystery of petrification. He and his group will continue to build things that will help them in their quest. He will closely work with Chrome and Gen not just for Science but in the forthcoming battles that they will face.
Finally, “Dr. Stone” season 2 is still in production so its exact airdate is still undetermined. Then again, Game Revolution suggested that the anime may be out this July.
