President Donald Trump has a penchant for attacking everyone he does not like on Twitter, and his predecessor is not immune. In a tweet from 2014, Trump tweeted, basically implying that his predecessor Barack Obama contract Ebola.

Politicalflare reports that a tweet made by Trump back in 2014 when he had yet to become a presidential candidate While Trump is currently facing the challenge that is the coronavirus pandemic, during Obama’s time, it was the resurgence of the Ebola virus. Trump took to Twitter to basically imply that he wished that Obama would contract the Ebola virus at the time. “President Obama has a personal responsibility to visit & embrace all people in the US who contract Ebola!” tweeted Trump.

It should be pointed out that Ebola is much more dangerous than the coronavirus. Thus, in essence, Trump wished that his would-be predecessor get infected with the horrible condition.

Naturally, Trump’s jab at Obama did not go unnoticed. Jamahl Anderson then replied to his tweet by sending a link to the article showing Obama embracing a nurse who had fully recovered from the disease. Nina Pham, the nurse who was fully recovered from the disease, was invited to the White House hours after her discharge. Anderson’s reply was replied to by another as of late, Jacqueline Lewis, immediately drawing comparisons between the two. “45 doesn’t hug his wife like that. She probably happy he doesn’t.”

Meanwhile, Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump, Jr., accused the Democrats of trying to “politicize” the coronavirus. Don Jr. told Fox News that the Democrats are the ones that hope that the virus enters the US shores and kills millions of innocent lives because “they could end Donald Trump’s streak of winning.”

Contrary to Don Jr.’s statement, no politician has said that this is something they hoped would happen. However, lawmakers from both parties have criticized the administration’s response to the increasingly worrying situation. Republican Senator Richard Shelby and Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer both urged the administration to spend more money into combatting and containing the virus in America.

Vice President Mike Pence echoed Don Jr’s sentiments, saying his remarks were “understandable.”
