INDIANAPOLIS, July 12, 2016 -- To help federal contractors improve interdepartmental cooperation, Indianapolis-based nonprofit DirectEmployers Association released an OFCCP Compliance Punch List for Recruiters. This quick-reference guide was created by affirmative action and equal employment opportunity (AA/EEO) expert, Candee Chambers and employment law expert, John C. Fox to help bridge the gap that currently exists between OFCCP compliance and recruitment professionals, and provide recruiters with a better understanding of the varied tasks and documentation they may be asked to record.
"We have found that recruiters within our member companies are reaching out to us more frequently to understand their role in the compliance space," commented Candee Chambers, DirectEmployers VP of Compliance and Partnerships. "This presented an opportunity for us help to shed light onto how recruitment and compliance teams can work together more efficiently, and we are excited about creating more compliance-focused tools that will benefit recruiters."
As a leading OFCCP compliance solution provider, DirectEmployers is always searching for methods to enrich its membership offering and help compliance and recruitment teams collaborate more efficiently. Creating an OFCCP Punch List for Recruiters provides teams with a high-level look into their compliance counterpart's daily challenges, while simultaneously giving them the knowledge needed to assist with compliance recordkeeping activities. With the current regulatory environment, it is necessary for the two teams to work in a cooperative environment and tackle their federal contractor obligations together. While recruiters may not be required to handle every OFCCP compliance task identified on this Punch List for Recruiters, it catalogues all OFCCP compliance tasks a company could assign to recruiters.
Currently offered as a member-only resource, the OFCCP Punch List for Recruiters is just one of the many new tools DirectEmployers has developed to help bridge the gap between recruitment and compliance teams. Members of DirectEmployers can access and download this new resource via the Association's new member community. This resource can be found alongside the OFCCP Compliance Punch List–an all-inclusive document created by employment law expert, John C. Fox and DirectEmployers VP of Compliance and Partnerships, Candee Chambers that provides a comprehensive guide to each of the compliance actions federal contractors must undertake pursuant to OFCCP's regulations.
