MIDLAND, Texas, Aug. 09, 2017 -- Diamondback Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ:FANG) (“Diamondback”) announced today the pricing of an underwritten public offering of 3,000,000 shares of its common stock by certain selling stockholders. The underwriter intends to offer the shares from time to time for sale in one or more transactions on the NASDAQ Global Select Market, in the over-the-counter market, through negotiated transactions or otherwise at market prices prevailing at the time of sale, at prices related to prevailing market prices or at negotiated prices. The gross proceeds from the sale of the shares by the selling stockholders will be approximately $277.8 million. Diamondback will not receive any proceeds for the sale of the shares by the selling stockholders. The underwriter has a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 450,000 shares of common stock from the selling stockholders.
