‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ chapter 197 recap

“Demon Slayer” chapter 197, which is now available for online reading on Mangaplus, starts Tamayo finally revealing a sense of accomplishment. After all, even if she’s no longer physically around, she was still able to weaken Muzan with her planning and drugs.

“There is no need to be stronger than you to kill you,” she converses with Muzan inside the demon’s head. “Weakening you is good enough… We will do anything to kill you.”

Muzan realized the truth behind Tamayo’s words. Previously, the Pillars’ attacks meant nothing to him as they can’t threaten his life. But with the four effects of Tamayo’s drugs working together, even Muzan had to be careful because he is at his weakest at the moment and has no means yet to counter the drugs.

Muzan abruptly stops and Tanjiro thought it’s because of Tamayo’s drugs. However, the demon was actually just preparing to activate his Blood Demon arts. Unfortunately, both Tanjiro and Obanai were caught and unprepared and suffered severe injuries as a result.

With both of his pursuers injured, Muzan took the opportunity to make his escape. However, Inosuke barred his path. He fought bravely against Muzan and managed to remain alive because Muzan is very drained at the moment and can hardly raise his arms and legs.

While the two were engaged in combat, Tanjiro thought of a way to stop from attacking his nervous system. He plans to use the Nichirin sword so he will be able to neutralize the effect of Muzan’s attack. The risk is that he must not hit any of his vitals as he stabs himself.

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” chapter 198 speculations

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” chapter 198 will show whether or not Tanjiro successfully countered Muzan’s Demon Blood art by stabbing himself with the Nichirin sword. But given his tenacity, he will likely be able to pull it off, which will piss Muzan off.

Meanwhile, “Demon Slayer” chapter 198 is expected to show if Obanai survived Muzan’s attack. In the previous chapter, it was not seen where Obanai landed and if he is still alive at the moment. There’s also a good chance that a few of the Pillar will be able to get up and fight with Muzan once more.

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” chapter 198 will arrive on March 16, 2020.
