“Cyberpunk 2077” will be coming out in 2021 as has been reiterated by CD Projekt Red. This new title is one – if not – the most anticipated game by the community, given the reputation of the studio that is creating it, Tech Radar reported.
For the unaware, this is the studio that developed “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt,” a game that took the game industry by storm and has a multitude of accolades under its name. But it’s not just the studio’s previous output that is bringing noise to “Cyberpunk 2077.”
The game itself has been created with groundbreaking verticality that is poised to redefine the RPG genre in the years to come. However, opposed to the “Witcher 3” series, “Cyberpunk 2077” has been developed in the first-person view. One of the major reasons for this shift is that the developers wanted to emphasize just how sprawling Night City is – the location in which the story takes place.
Indeed, the verticality of the game alone is enough to make a player’s head spin. Add the fact that each megastructure contains a multitude of stories and “Cyberpunk 2077” is looking like it contains hundreds of hours’ worth of gameplay.
Apart from the title hitting the market in 2021, there are also reports coming in that CD Projekt Red will be releasing another triple-A game in the same year. It’s still unclear what this game exactly. It also doesn’t help that the studio isn’t offering any information about it as their focus at the moment is promoting “Cyberpunk 2077.”
As such, the community has turned to speculation in an attempt to shed light what this mysterious project is. The most popular narrative that has emerged is that the studio might be creating another “Witcher” game, although this will unlikely include Geralt in its storyline. Fans have been adamantly asking the studio to create another “Witcher” game and it’s possible the developers have listened to the community as has been their habit ever since they emerged in the scene. Hopefully, more information will be revealed this coming E3, including details surrounding “Cyberpunk 2077.”
