ISSAQUAH, Wash., May 03, 2017 -- Costco Wholesale Corporation (“Costco” or the “Company”) (Nasdaq:COST) today reported net sales of $9.42 billion for the month of April, the four weeks ended April 30, 2017, an increase of five percent from $8.98 billion during the similar period last year. This year’s total reflects one fewer sales day due to the timing of Easter, which negatively impacted net and comparable sales by an estimated one and one-half to two percent.
For the thirty-five weeks ended April 30, 2017, the Company reported net sales of $82.24 billion, an increase of six percent from $77.94 billion during the similar period last year.
