KLAMATH FALLS, Ore., March 05, 2017 -- Companion Pet Clinic has announced the arrival of a new, easy way to pay vet bills. Scratch™ payment plans are a service that allows payments to be spread out over 12 months. This allows pet owners to get needed services for their companion animals that would otherwise be out of reach. It's excellent for people with no pet insurance or who have pets facing unexpected expenses.
Scratch™ payment plans allow bills from $200 to $10,000 to be charged on a credit card designated only for veterinary charges. Repayment can then be made over a one-year period or according to other terms of service. There is no penalty for early repayment, so it can also be used for short-term needs as well.
"This new payment method is a boon to pet owners, but it's especially good for the animals. It helps to ensure that they'll get proper care if they suffer costly injuries or contract an illness that requires more than a few antibiotics to treat. Often, by the time advanced care is needed, many owners are not financially prepared for a large and sudden veterinary bill. Of course, accidents can also happen at any time," explained Dr. Dean Michael Wilson, DVM, owner of Companion Pet Clinic of Klamath Falls.
Applying for this line of credit is fast and easy, and can be done right from the vet's office. As with other such lines, it only takes a couple of minutes for the issuer's system to present an approval notification and an interest rate. Scratch™ payment plans can be applied from any device or smartphone with internet access. A device that can receive text messages is required as part of the verification process. This makes it great for on-the-spot needs.
What makes Scratch™ payment plans different from other credit cards is that it is limited to being used at vet clinics. Patients apply right from the office and ask for the funds needed to cover the upcoming bill. Then, the funds on the credit line must be used within seven days.
Companion Pet Clinic also is announcing their new Saturday Daily Specials that launched this week, as another way for pet owners to save on their veterinary costs. They are now offering comprehensive exams for $20.00 (a savings of $15) and $5.00 off all vaccines, meaning that the more vaccines a pet needs, the more the pet owner saves. All spay or neuter procedures are also $10.00 off every Saturday. These new promotions will replace their previous Saturday deals.
