“Classroom of the Elite” season 2 has been greatly delayed, and although this is the case, fans are still waiting for any update that will tell them if the next chapter has been renewed or not. The first season concluded more than two years ago, and the long gap has been frustrating for most fans.
Hiatus and renewal update
They are not certain if “Classroom of the Elite” season 2 will still be released or perhaps, it was already canceled, but they continue to wait despite this since there is no official announcement yet, and anything can happen.
“Classroom of the Elite” is also known as “Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijō Shugi no Kyōshitsu” in Japan, where it originally premiered. It was based on the light novel that was published in 2015. Later, in 2017, Lerche Studio produced the animated version, and it was a hit on the AT-X TV network.
Apparently, since the first season ended, “Classroom of the Elite” season 2 has been on hiatus, and the bad thing is, Lerche has been quiet about the return of the anime. Some fans are already convinced that it was already axed, but others are still holding on and waiting for confirmation.
Theories on why it will be renewed
“Classroom of the Elite” is definitely popular as per TV Season & Spoilers; thus, its producers will surely give it another go. They produced the show for profit, and since it is making money, there is no question that its renewal will eventually happen.
Moreover, there are enough materials to make “Classroom of the Elite” season 2. For the first season, only three volumes were used to produce all 12 episodes. The light novel has 14 volumes in all, and this means that they can make use of 11 volumes for at least three more seasons.
Then again, others theorized that it will not be renewed anymore because the anime was only created to promote the light novel edition. After serving its purpose, “Classroom of the Elite” season 2 is not necessary anymore. Meanwhile, despite the suggestions that “Classroom of the Elite” season 2 has been scrapped, Akanagi still believes it will return and be on air before 2020 ends.
